This course will introduce students to the basics of Abeldent, a popular software widely used in various dental offices. At the end of  this course you will be able to add providers, schedule appointments and organize patient records using ABELDent.

Using Abel Dent the student will be able to:  

  • Add a provider(s).
  • Enter new patients.
  • Link a new patient with family members.
  • Search for patients.
  • Enter medical/health information (red flag).
  • Enter personal insurance information.
  • Link family insurance information.
  • Enter information into the appointment schedule.
  • Set up the appointment schedule.
  • Set up the office hours.
  • Set up the columns for each provider.
  • Set up the work to do field (colour coding).
  • Explain ‘reserve time’.
