Please read the following Terms and Conditions, which relate to information regarding general use of our website.

 By using this website, making a payment and/or beginning an online course, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. From time to time we may change these terms and conditions, and will post revisions on our website. We recommend that you read these terms and conditions regularly.   

Course Prerequisites

 Students who enroll in a Medix Online course that requires a prerequisite, will be asked to provide proof of completion via a transcript and/or any other forms of documentation 

Username & Password

 Please be advised that your username, password for the course will be sent to the email address given during the payment process two business days, or earlier, after completing the online registration and once confirmation had been received by Medix Online that fees have been paid in full. 

Payment Policy

 Course fees listed on the website are all inclusive.   Registration / Enrollment fees include course material and all applicable taxes and shipping costs. For online courses, payment must be received on or before the date of course commencement. 

Refund Policy  

Payment for any service on the medixonline.ca website is non refundable.   Registering and payment for an online course through Medix Online is a commitment to completing the course for which you register, because the learning materials will be shipped out immediately upon receipt of payment.  As such, no refund can be issued for online courses once paid for in full.   Any payment related inquiries should be sent to payments@medixonline.ca

Account Termination Policy

 Students will be provided with a 1 year activation period which starts as soon as they are given access to their course account.  Students must complete their course within the allocated time frame for the course.  The time frame will start once the student submits their first assignment.  Students have the opportunity to develop their own schedule and complete the course within the given time frame.  Failure to complete the course within the activation period or within their time frame, whichever comes first, will result in account termination.  Course extensions may be granted, as per the discretion of the course instructor/director.  Course extensions maybe subject to a system reaccess fee.    

Career & Employment Services

 Medix Online does not provide any career service support at this time.  This includes, but is not limited to, career advice, job placement, job search training, etc.

General

 Medix Online is a website owned by Health Care Vocational Centers Inc.   Medix Online & its programs are not governed or approved under the Private Career Colleges Act 2005, therefore no privileges or rights associated with this act are applicable or applied.    If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under any applicable law, it shall be deemed omitted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. This Agreement may be modified only in writing authorized by Medix Online.  Medix Online’s waiver of any right shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right in the future. This web site is controlled and operated by Medix Online from its offices in Ontario, Canada. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and in the provincial and federal courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Medix Online makes no representation that this material is appropriate for users in other jurisdictions.   

Privacy Statement

 Use of the data that you provide us, or which is collected by use on this website, is governed by our Privacy Policy. Medix Online’s web site (www.medixonline.ca) provides information about the school, its programs, and its services. Medix Online respects the privacy of its online visitors and does not sell or rent any information obtained from its Web site to any other organization or third party.    When you visit Medix Online ‘s Web site, the server automatically collects a limited amount of information essential for the site’s operation and security. This information includes your IP address, the name of your Internet Service Provider, and information concerning your browser and operating system. This information is used to perform statistical analysis of user trends and interests and to help us make this site more useful to visitors. Medix School does make limited use of cookies on its Web server, but not in any manner which could impinge on your privacy. “Cookies” are small text files placed on your personal computer’s hard drive by a Web site that allows it to track your browser’s use of the site. Cookies are used for purposes such as ensuring that procedures (such as Library procedures) work properly, and that you are not annoyed by repetitions.   When you use Medix Online’s Web site for program or services purposes, such as participating in online courses, requesting services, completing a questionnaire, or making payment, the personal information you provide for that program or service will be in compliance with (PIPEDA) The Personal Information Protection Electronic Documents Act and will be used only for the purpose it was collected. The information will be disclosed only in accordance with the provisions of this act. Also, it is necessary for you to register, giving us access to personal information, such as, your credit card information, name, specialty, address, phone number, e-mail address, and other contact information. [We do not otherwise collect personal information] We will not share personal information gathered on this Web site with any other parties, except as we may reasonably determine is required by law or by governmental authority.  It is Medix Online’s intention to protect against improper use of your personal information. Accordingly, Medix Online has provided safeguards for the protection and storage of the personal information you have provided. Credit card information is encrypted, and access to your information is limited exclusively to people required to process that information. This privacy statement is intended to reflect the sites maintained by Medix Online and it is subject to change.   The Medix Online Web site may have links to external Web pages. Please be aware that the school is not responsible for site content outside our Web site, or the privacy policies of outside Web sites. Security  

 All payment details which are entered through this payment gateway are encrypted when the Student, or third party making payment, enters them.   The payment portal of the site is secure and usesencryption to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site. Medix Online shall not be liable for any failure by the Student or third party making payment of Fees to properly protect data from being seen on their screen by other persons or otherwise obtained by such other persons during the Online Payment process or in respect of any omission to provide accurate information in the course of the Online Payment process. Personal information will not be passed to third parties.  

Use of Materials

Permitted Uses and Prohibitions

 You are not permitted to copy, reproduce, modify, republish, upload, download, post, sell, lease, license, rent, transfer or in any manner distribute or otherwise use or permit others to use any Materials or any copies thereof. You must not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any Materials. If you wish to build a hyperlink to this web site, you may only do so provided that you obtain written permission from Medix Online and agree to cease such a link upon request from Medix Online. This license to use the Materials will also automatically terminate if you fail to comply with any these Terms and Conditions. In the event this license is terminated, you must immediately destroy any copies you have made of the Materials. 

Usage by Children Under 18

 This web site is directed at adults and is not intended for children under the age of 18. Medix Online cannot prohibit minors from visiting the web site. Medix Online must rely on parents, guardians and other adults responsible for supervising such children to decide whether the material contained in the web site is appropriate for review.

Access to the Medix Online website

 We try to ensure that website availability is uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, we cannot, due to the nature of the internet, guarantee that your access will not be suspended or restricted from time to time including to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. We of course try to limit the frequency and duration of any suspension or restriction. Access is at our discretion and may be changed without notice. 

Intellectual property rights

 The content, layout, design, data and graphics on this website are protected by Canadian and other international copyright laws. Other than downloading a small proportion of content, strictly for your personal non-commercial use, or where this amounts to “fair dealing” no part of the website may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system or transmitted, in any form or by any means (electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording and/or otherwise) without our prior written consent.
